Saturday

Had a fantastic weekend with my family. It's one of those weekends where you just feel completely free and relaxed... without having an agenda, and not having to rush for anything at all. Last Saturday, my hubby and I took the kids out to Ikano Power Center, which is located in PJ and is one of the most popular malls in town. Thank God, the traffic wasn't heavy as it only took us less than 15 minutes to get there, parking included. For those, who are familiar with the place, you'll get what I mean =) For those who aren't, well all I can say is... weekends in Ikano is like a madhouse! And I'm not even talking about public holidays...lol

We arrived just before noon yet it was already crowded with shoppers both big and small. The mall was alive and vibrant with various Christmas decorations from Christmas trees to garlands and gorgeous ornaments. Colorful and interesting stalls made a long line, along the pavement outside the mall with some shoppers curiously peeking at what was being displayed and sold. There was also plenty of activities specially for kids. From bouncy castles to sand art, not forgetting a special program by Playhouse Disney and Astro. The anticipation of Christmas was evident!

From a distance I was able to see a group of people getting ready to move into their positions on the stage. They were carolers from St.Xaviers Church. The musicians, were on the left hand side of the stage and were making final adjustments to their instruments. Then a couple of minutes later, they belted out their 1st number 'Joy To The World'.

At approximately 3pm, we then decided to head for home.

A Day Out

Will be taking the boys out to a nearby mall for a "meet & greet" session with the adorable Lilo & Stitch at noon. How fun for them! Also have to remember to bring along my camera to take some shots so that I'm able to post em here =)

Guest From Penang

My lovely cousin is in town with her family. In fact, she's on her way here this very minute! It's always a joy to have someone come visit and the boys are definitely excited, knowing that they'll be having a lot of fun playing with one another.

As kids, Lin and I we were not very close (to be honest, I wasn't close to any of my cousins from my hometown, Penang). Sure, there was the (not to be missed) annual Chinese New Year visits and all, but somehow there just wasn't much of a connection between us. As I recall, I would even put up a fight with my parents and then show a sour face just before we left for visits. Perhaps what made things worse was also the fact that I wasn't able to converse in my mother tongue back then. It was quite embarrassing. But you know what? Through the years, as traveling became easier and more efficient, my family and I we were able to make more frequent trips back to our hometown. And in time, I've developed a very special relationship with my cousin. Most important of all, I've changed... I've learned the value and have come to understand the importance of being a part of a family and hopefully I'd be able to pass that down to my little boys.

Sunsets

Straits Of Melacca

Pantai Tengah, Langkawi

I love sunsets. Waiting and watching the sun as it sets in to the dark night sky gives me a sense of peace and calmness, and I'd like to share these 2 photos with you. It was taken sometime back in Port Dickson and Langkawi Island. Enjoy =)

Milestone Day

Yup, it sure is. Cause after so much delaying... (3 years to be precise)... I've finally gathered enough encouragement and determination to push myself to start blogging =)
